Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data 2Day Founders ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain because that's how it should be.
What we collect
- Application details — the information you share when you apply to join or contact us (name, email, company, role and anything else you choose to tell us).
- Correspondence — emails and messages you send to hello@2dayfounders.org.
- Usage data — if, and only if, you accept cookies: which pages you view, which links and buttons you use, your approximate region (from IP, which we ask Google to truncate), and basic device and browser details. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell anything to anyone.
How we use it
- To review membership applications and run the community.
- To invite you to dinners, side events and the flagship party.
- To respond to your messages and improve the site.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets no analytics cookies until you accept them in the banner. Decline, and none of the tools below load at all — no script is fetched and no identifier is stored. The site works identically either way.
- Google Analytics 4 — which pages get read and roughly where visitors come from.Their privacy policy.
- PostHog — which links and buttons actually get used.Their privacy policy.
- Google Search Console — tells us which search queries bring people here. It sets no cookies and cannot see individual visitors; it works from a verification tag and Google's own search logs.
Google Analytics runs with Consent Mode, IP anonymisation, and Google advertising signals switched off. PostHog runs with session replay disabled, so we never record your screen or what you type. Both process data on servers in the EU where their configuration allows it.
You can change your mind whenever you like:reopen the cookie choice. Clearing this site's data in your browser also resets it.
Legal basis
Applications and correspondence: your consent, and our legitimate interest in operating a curated community. Analytics cookies: your consent alone, given in the banner and withdrawable at any moment. You can withdraw any consent at any time without giving a reason.
Who else sees it
We don't sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the community (for example, email and form tools), and only as needed. We never publish your application without your say-so.
Retention
We keep application and contact data for as long as you're part of the community or in conversation with us, and delete it on request.
Your rights
If you're in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@2dayfounders.org.
